Marlborough Tennis Association | Wairau Poi Kake

The Marlborough Tennis Association / Wairau Poi Kake is a Regional Tennis Organisation affiliated to Tennis New Zealand.

We provide support for tennis clubs in the Marlborough region, promote this wonderful sport locally, organise Interclub, junior and senior events and run the High Performance Tennis Unit for our most promising juniors.  We also fund a tennis in Schools programme annually with the aim that every primary school student in Marlborough has the opportunity to experience tennis.

MTA is a non-profit making organisation.   We rely on player affiliation fees, sponsorship and grants to run our programmes. Any surplus funds are returned to the Marlborough clubs with the aim of increasing capacity for tennis across the region.
